TUBEL ENERGY REAL TIME AND SHORT HOP DOWNHOLE SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING AND CONTROL

Click one of the boxes below to view more details

Gauges are deployed in line with the casing for frac monitoring and in line with the production tubing for reservoir, communications between wells and artificial lift optimization.

The real time gauges use acoustic energy transmitted from downhole to the surface carrying digital data related to downhole pressure and temperature. The acoustic energy is transmitted through the production tubing.

The flow control tools are all electric valves that modulate the flow of hdrocarbons from the annulus to the tubing during production or from the tubing to the formation in injection applications. The modulation is accomplished by messages sent from the surface to the flow control tools.

The cable gauges are deployed on the outside of the tubing or casing and connect to the surface via a downhole cable.

The downhole power generator and downhole wireless power transfer are using to generate in site downhole power and for wireless power transfer from the tubing to the casing.

Services

Click one of the services below for more details

  • Tubel Energy field personnel will collect data downhole short hop gauge at the customer's requests. We will go anywhere in the USA to service the customers.
  • The data may be collected using a slickline or e-line truck.
  • The Tubel e-line Short Hop surface system is attached to the truck auxiliary input that provides access to the cable for power and communications.
  • The Tubel short hop surface system can be used for slickline application. The downhole data collection tool is battery operated instead of having power acquired from the truck cable.
  • To view the Short Hop Gauge Production Data or Short Hop Gauge Frac Data, Click Here
  • Tubel Energy field personnel provides installation services to all proprietary products developed by Tubel Energy.
  • The short hop gauges can be FedEx to the customer for installation in his/her wells without requiring Tubel personnel to be on location.
  • The real time wireless gauges need to be installed by a Tubel personnel due to the surface system deployment and the use of the proper acoustic wave frequencies downhole.
  • The downhole power systems will also require a Tubel installation personnel to be on location.
  • Tubel energy can download the data from the receiver modules and process the pressure and temperature data converting from machine language to an Excel format. A file with the raw data obtained downhole is given to the customer with time stamp, pressure and temperature as well as a quick look low resolution graph of all the data acquired.
  • The data from the real time wireless gauges can be transferred automatically to a customer system using ModBus interface.
  • Graph of a monitor/production well where the frac pressure from a nearby well being frac'ed has reached the producing well causing the well pressure to go up significantly.
    Sample Data Collection 1
  • Standard pressure curve for a producing well in a tight formation.

What our customer's have to say...

The gauges are basically inserted into the ID and/or OD of a pup joint of various sizes and contain batteries that can last a few years. It helped us tremendously with gathering of relevant P&T info while frac’ing and flowback (deployed on tie-back), and later we redeployed a gauge in the production string (below artificial lift if applicable). Tubel can accommodate a variety of threads as well.

In my cost/benefits analysis, these gauges are the best ones out there. They provide operational flexibility while gathering relevant and desired data.

They have an option to gather high frequency data and shifts back to longer intervals given time or pressure differences. Data can be retrieve via slick-line with a receiver that connects to the gauge downhole (sort of a Bluetooth technology); or when string is pulled during a WO Capture SI pressures automatically (unscheduled downtime occurs due to surface issues, or planned SI due to offset fracs)

I hope this helps your team’s goals and can bridge the gap between data gathering, production/completion optimization, and cost reduction measures being implemented across the whole industry.

Advantages

Advantages of Tubel's wireless gauges to memory gauges

  1. Gauge goes in downhole as an integrated system and it is a simple pup joint to the rig hands. No changes in the operator's tubing deployment procedures.

  2. Wireless interface allows the test of the gauge just before installation in the well.

  3. No personnel from the service company (Tubel Energy) required on site after the first installation saving money to the operator.

  4. Downhole parameters for data collection can be changed just before the gauge is deployed using wireless communications.

  5. Downhole parameters for data collection can be changed downhole if the operator needs to have a faster or slower data acquisition during production or pressure build up.

  6. Wireless gauge does not need to come out of the well for the operator to get data. Using the receiver module in a slickline we can collect data downhole and keep the gauge in the well fully operational.

  7. Wireless gauge has a configuration to acquire data in the tubing and in the annulus with a single gauge being able to monitor 2 zones simultaneously.

  8. Gauge can be retrieved from the well, the data downloaded and the gauge returned to the same well or another well without the gauge being opened.

  9. Multiple gauges can be deployed in a single well to monitor multiple zones. A single run downhole with the receiver can collect data from all gauges.

  10. No side pocket mandrel required or kickover tools that can damage the gauges during installation or retrieval due to shock, or get the retrieval assembly stuck in the well.
